Kitty Love

BB comfy on my desk.
I love Auntie Kay: Pepper rode around on Kay’s shoulders all the time. She loved her Auntie Kay. This is before I had her eyes enucleated. That surgical procedure (performed by an animal eye specialist) cleaned out her little eye sockets, so they wouldn’t get infected. Then he installed little false kitty eye orbs (to keep the empty sockets from caving inward), before he sealed the cleaned sockets.  I had to wait until she was over 18 months before I could have the enucleation done. Of course she came home with a cone to protect her head. Which she hated! It took her approximately five minutes (backing around the house) until she found a place between the old water heater and the wall where she could back through it and get the cone off. She did fine without the cone.
Aging Pepper and Comfy BB in mom’s lap: I’ve always noted that it’s hard to take a good photo of a black cat with no eyes. Now that Pepper is older, she has one grey whisker. It really helps!
BB lap kitty: BB loves to be my lap kitty. She’s a bit disgruntled here, because she doesn’t like the camera. 😊
KiKo was a crazy calico. Most calicos are! She was 17 when I lost her in 2024. And I still miss her grumpy self.
KiKo didn’t want to share the dripping water faucet with little Pepper. But Pep got to it anyway. No fear.
A new addition is little Inky, a feisty little feral who is now indoor/outdoor at my house.
Pepper loves to play, but I have to make sure her kitty toys had bells so she could find them.
